Sage Priestess Initiate Community Level
The Priestess Initiate level is where you walk the Priestess path for your own spiritual development, personal growth and transformation. It’s foundational and required to complete for all levels of the program. The aim is to deepen into your own healing so that you are spiritually strong, radiant, and connected to your source.
You will participate in 3 live calls each temple gateway. The calls are a combination of interactive learning, group sharing, and contemplative, creative and reflective practices. You will participate in rituals, ceremonies, and meditations, all in the container of sacred space. In addition, you receive recorded content, guided journeys and PDFs each temple gateway
Keeper of the Mysteries Professional Certification
The Professional level explores topics in more depth with an 8 additional workshops throughout the year. This level is for healers, coaches, counsellors, artists, creative spiritual entrepreneurs, professionals and conscious mindful leaders who want to make an impact in the world. It is also for you if you want to dive deeper into the topics, offer spiritual services, and are looking for a more structured model with gentle accountability.
The aim of this level is to apply the principles and practices of Priestessing, and the Sage Living Priestess modality, to both spiritual and secular settings. Completion of this level will give you the confidence and skills to navigate the conversations of our times with personal sovereignty and deep compassion while holding impeccable space for your clients, classes, and communities.
You’re encouraged to apply what you’re learning to your life. You also participate in the Community Level.

Labyrinth Apprentice: Service, Contribution & Voice
The Apprentice level is an advanced level that supports you in three areas: service, contribution and voice.
You take part in the community and professional levels and design your apprentice level experience, with our guidance. You receive 10 mentoring sessions with Vanessa as we support you in stepping into sacred leadership in your life. You are also given the opportunity to lead a Priestess Circle and will be given a feature in one of my Love Letters.

It’s not required to attend the calls live (they are recorded), however, we recommend that you schedule a time in your week to watch anything you’ve missed. The rewards are immeasurable when you show up for this sacred work.
We recommend blocking out 2 hours a week at the community level, 3 hours a week at the professional level, and add in your session times at the apprentice level.
We ask that you reach out if you ever feel blocked, lost or challenged. We understand that there are natural ebbs and flows but please don’t let yourself drift so far away that it’s hard to get back. Trust that we’re here for you and want you to succeed.

Welcome to the Temple Orientation (June)
Journey to activate the web of life as you walk between the worlds and meet your inner Priestess. You will light your inner flame and be introduced to the labyrinth Priestess lineage and complete a personal dedication ceremony all before the official start of the program on June 23.

Hi, I’m Vanessa Sage, Ph.D., and I’ve been immersed in the women’s spirituality movement for over 25 years! I’m a Priestess, cultural anthropologist, a spiritual and business mentor, and a poet. I’ve led eight cycles of women in Priestess Training, have written a book of poetry, and run a tarot school.
I love finding wonder in my everyday life, and comfort in a good book and a cup of tea.
I have a Ph.D. in cultural anthropology from McMaster University. Over the course of my 10-year academic career, I studied: Buddhism, goddess spirituality, pilgrimage, contemporary paganism, and how hope for a city was embodied in an arts scene. As a cultural anthropologist, with a deep love and respect for many cultures, I understand culture as multiple, complex, not fixed, and in constant change. You will see different cultural influences showing up in my work. I view this as a strength.

Yes. I open enrolment once a year.
I recommend giving yourself 2-3 hours a week. This will be a joy and something you truly look forward to.
I recognize the fact that energy can ebb and flow. We are working with cyclic time so any given moment is an opportunity to step back in. Many women have completed the program with children, full-time jobs and even while on vacation or moving.
Part of the beauty of the program is that it’s a year and you are supported through an entire cycle of your life.
Your call schedule will be sent out as part of your orientation package. There will be some calls on weekends and some during the week. We work hard to include timezones from around the world. We work together as a community to show up for each other.
All the calls, except the small group sisterhood sharing circles led by our Labyrinth Priestesses, are recorded. Watching the recording is still participating in the program.
If you are in Australia, New Zealand or Hawaii calls will most likely be very early in the morning or you’ll need to schedule in time each week to watch the replays. Everything is recorded if you can’t attend live and we’ve had many women participate in the program this way.
We are told over and over again that watching the replays feels like attending live.
The small group sisterhood calls will be scheduled according to time zones to make sure you do have that beautiful support throughout the program.
We’ll meet on Zoom. This is free and simple for you to use. We will be able to see and hear each other, which makes it very similar to an in-person class. I love it! All of these calls will be recorded.
Absolutely not! I meet you where you are and honour your inherent wisdom. Certification is a live group program with a lot of community connection. It is meant to teach you practical mindful compassionate leadership skills to take with you into your life and work.
Oh my goodness, no at all. The program is so perfect for you if you are looking for personal development but don’t have an interest in running your own groups. I’d say one of the main reasons people enrol is for personal growth and community connection. I’m so honoured to work with you and stand side by side with you on this journey!
The way I view leadership is it’s all about being personally empowered. Leading in your own life, for yourself. Without that, there’s nothing else. I will be giving you tools to lead and they can be applied to any aspect of your life. It’s so important to me that the training be what you need it to be. I meet you where you are.
For some, that will be about leading groups or bringing the tools into their work or teaching, parenting, art practices, etc. My deepest hope is that the program be an enriching and empowering program where you meet yourself and each other more deeply.
Absolutely! Thank you for being here. I am so honoured to work with you and stand side by side with you on this journey. My approach to leadership is that all experience is valued. I simply hold the container for whatever is meant to come forward and be experienced. That will be different for everyone. Some of the women in my program have long established spiritual practices where they run circles, teach other women and girls, and have their own training programs. Some have been studying and practicing for years and others are just starting. Some are artists and mothers who are simply drawn to the work. In the space of this program, there is room for it all. I am invested in every single woman who is part of the program. You are very welcome here!
As a cultural anthropologist, I find a sense of joy and inspiration in many different spiritual and religious paths. I personally don’t follow just one tradition, and I know I’m not alone. While the program is informed by Earth-centred, Celtic-inspired, Women’s Spirituality, at every step of the way the ball is in your court for how you choose to use and adapt the material in a way that suits you!
My approach comes from a place of empowering you, so the definition is very open. How you define the term priestess is completely up to you! There are women in the program who would probably never call themselves priestesses out in the “real” world but bring the program to their children and art in really beautiful ways. For me, it’s about encouraging people to embody their inner souls/selves. I believe that simply doing that is a great gift and is of service to the word.
I’ve structured the program in such a way that you do not need to buy anything. Connecting to the sacred doesn’t require anything but a willing heart and a connection to the self, to nature, and to others. You’ll be given reading lists and other resources lists to look at for additional support if you wish. I have a lot of tools that I use but I always suggest alternatives. How much you spend and what you choose to buy in addition is entirely up to you and is not required at all.
